Topic 2 : What is EMC

圖片1-2-.5

• Two Core Parts of EMC :

• EMI (Electromagnetic Interference) : The electromagnetic noise generated by the equipment during operation must not exceed limits to avoid interfering with other
    surrounding equipment.

• RE (Radiated Emission) : Tests the intensity of e lectromagnetic waves radiated outwards through space (air) by the product.
• CE (Conducted Emission) : Tests the intensity of electromagnetic noise conducted outwards through power lines, signal lines, and other wires by the product.
• EMS (Electromagnetic Susceptibility/Immunity) : The ability of a device to maintain normal operation without malfunction when faced with electromagnetic interference
    from the surrounding environment.

Simply put, a good electronic product must be able to "not interfere with others, and not be afraid of interference from others."

•  RI (Radiated Immunity) : Tests the product's ability to resist electromagnetic interference in space (e.g., whether the product will malfunction when a mobile phone is used
   nearby).

• CI (Conducted Immunity) : Tests a product's ability to resist interference injected into power lines and signal lines (e.g., simulated lightning strikes, power line surges, noise
   from nearby high-power electrical switches).
